Error - "No Audio Output Device is Installed" on Windows 10 - Microsoft Community."No audio output device is installed" error on Lenovo ideapad - Microsoft CommunityHow to choose sound output and input device for your Lenovo PC – Windows 10 - Lenovo Support FI.
Hey guys so this started happening a couple of days back. There is a small red cross sign over the sound icon in the bottom right taskbar. I tried the following solutions but it hasn't helped - 1 I tried updating the audio drivers from the device manager, 2 I disabled and enabled all audio drivers, 3 I uninstalled and restarted my laptop which causes the drivers to reinstall but that didn't help either, 4 Windows troubleshooter does not show any error.
The Audio works if I connect bluetooth headphones but the moment I disconnect them the error message shows again. Any suggestions? Was this reply helpful?
Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. It was working properly about 2 days ago, the problem started randomly about 2 hours after the last use. I had the same problem.
I tried everything suggested by Lenovo support, I run all sort of troubleshoot. But none worked out. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. I have the same question Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. John DeV Independent Advisor. I want to apologize if you encountered this issue. I understand you have a problem with sound not working properly. Did you made any changes recently? When was the last time it's working properly?
What is your current Windows version and edition? Press Start then search Settings, select System then About. Run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter Press Start then search command prompt Right click then run as administrator type: msdt. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further concerns. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. In reply to John DeV's post on June 8, I don't think I made any changes recently.
Hello ArvindB3, Thank you for updating me that information. I'm sorry it didn't resolve the issue. If you don't have, You can download it on Microsoft Store.
Run Diagnostics If it doesn't work, Please try to Perform a System Restore on an earlier date which the sound was still working properly. Press Start Search for Create a restore point, and click the top result to open the System Properties experience. Click the System Restore button. Choose a different restore point. Click the Next button. Select the restore point that you want to use on your computer. I found out the driver it suggested didn't work.
But it worked for me to do the manual installation suggested here. Hope this can help. This site in other languages x.
